Coaching

From January 1st 2023 we will be welcoming a new Coaching team led by Chris Ovenden of Chris Ovenden Tennis.  Chris and his team will be providing an exciting set of coaching programs for both Juniors and Adults.

Chris Ovenden is an LTA Level 4 Senior Club Coach who aims to deliver fun and constructive tennis lessons to all his clients..

Chris has been coaching at a high level for over 15 years and has built a strong reputation and knowledge of every aspect in coaching both juniors and adults. He has coached in the Berkshire and Oxfordshire area and has had experience coaching at Tennis Clubs/Parks, Schools and Private Tennis Courts.

Current roles include being newly appointed Head Coach of Shiplake Tennis Club, which he sees as an exciting opportunity to grow and build a strong coaching programme for the community of Shiplake and beyond. 

He is also Head Tennis Coach at Lambrook School where he has been since 2015, building strong relationships with the teachers, parents and students. At Lambrook school he has built a coaching programme that sees all age groups from Reception to Year 8 having an opportunity to play tennis and develop their skills.

Previously Chris was the Head Coach of Wargrave LTC since 2014 for 8 years where he managed a programme of over 200 players playing weekly, including mini tennis, adult coaching, cardio tennis and competitive team tennis.
