Championships at Shiplake Tennis Club 2024
The Championship Committee is pleased to announce the launch of this season’s Club Championship, which (for the benefit of any new members) is run as a fun, competitive competition (for Club members only) with pairs selected at random in the doubles competitions. It’s open to all abilities, the only qualification you need is a valid membership!
To avoid confusion and disappointment please note all players should be prepared to participate in Finals Day on Sept 15th. Attendance at the Draw Meeting is optional but encouraged!
Formats of the Competitions
- Men’s Singles – Knockout
- Men’s Doubles – Knockout
- Ladies Singles – Knockout
- Ladies Doubles – Knockout
- Mixed Doubles – Knockout
- Vets Mixed Doubles* – Knockout
- Mixed Doubles Plate**- Knockout and first round losers will be automatically entered
* To qualify for the Vets competition players should be over 55 years of age on Jan 1st 2024.
** The Mixed Doubles plate will be taken from the pairs who do not make it through the round of 16 of the mixed doubles.
